smferris got me a heated mattress pad. I can preheat my bed before going to sleep and I don't have to wear socks to keep my feet warm.

Dude! We got one ages ago, but it was recalled (fire-hazard) about a month after we got it. Never got around to getting another one. Speaking as someone who sleeps next to a chronically cold person, something like that rocks hard.
