What kind of a mother...?
May. 14th, 2008 08:52 pmI was at Booksmart in Uptown today browsing through the recent arrivals
(scored 2 Pratchett, Selections from Natural History by Pliny the Elder, and a book by a Macalester prof about Genghis Khan.)
There was a group of 3 teenagers browsing at the same time and one of them was telling the other two that she'd once found a gilt-edged, 1837 edition of Milton's Paradise Lost and had wanted to buy it, but her mom talked her out of it.
I just don't get why her mom would do that.
