My favorite chemistry poem is Fluorite by Roald Hoffman

Quite incidental to his ability to write beautiful and deeply geeky poetry, he won a Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1986. (His poem about that is surprisingly steamy.) I was hoping that he had written a poem about water that I could add to my final project, so I spent about 15 minutes reading poetry rather than writing this afternoon.

In another of his poems he has the lines "... his poems were not dreamy, but filled with exasperating facts." He's one of my heroes.
