Audio Tech support?

Is there a way to record sound being played on your sound card directly to a file? I don't have a good microphone, so I can't play the sound and pick it back up.

I'm going to be doing transcription for the next two weeks from an .exe that doesn't have a rewind button, and I'm going to go mad.

You might want to check out Audacity, and see if it can pick up that audio stream as a recording source.
