Pretty good timing

I have soup in the crockpot just in time for the snowstorm.

This is really the fault of a clever organic farmer in Wisconsin. I was at the Wedge earlier this week and found a 'Soup pack' of assorted root vegetables, one parsnip, 2 turnips, 2 rutabagas, 3 different colored carrots. That's just about perfect for a batch of soup, so I bought it.

It's apparently a new product, the cashier said she hadn't seen them before and wasn't that a great idea? I have to agree.
