I don't remember ever seeing the trailer for The Princess Bride .. Yea verily it is a piece of crap.

I was thinking, "Yes, she's right: verily it is a piece of crap." And then I got to the point where they quoted the theme song as prose. Someone actually said, "Yes, let's have the announcer-guy say, 'It's as real as the feelings you feel'! That'll be awesome!"

Bah.

Of course, my tolerance for quoting song lyrics plummeted after the tornado, after about the four hundredth time someone quoted the Gustie Rouser as prose.

I think this trailer is ok considering the timeframe of production. I don't like trailers that give away a lot of the plot or use up all the good jokes.

My favorite part of the trailer is the smooth jazz/muzack background music.
