Do none of these people have mothers?

Just watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3 this afternoon.

The what-you-would-do-to-save-your-father parts were a bit difficult to watch. But I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.

Then I decided it was a bit curious that none of the main characters have a mother. They're barely even mentioned in any of the series, with the exception of a bad joke on Capt Sparrow's part.

Any good action movies with kick-ass moms in them? (I can only think of T2...)

Yeah, I can't remember the wiscon panel, someone commented that on Heroes everyone had bad mothers and on Lost everyone had bad fathers.
